Western Fitness Review welcomes pitches that help general readers understand movement, training, equipment, exercise spaces or fitness culture with precision and restraint.
What to pitch
We are interested in clear explainers, comparisons, grounded histories, examinations of common assumptions and useful plans for ordinary occasions. A strong proposal identifies one reader question, the central idea of the piece and what makes the subject worth understanding, without promising a particular fitness outcome.
A good fit
Pitches should be distinct from existing coverage, readable without specialist knowledge and useful without hazardous tasks, local rule checks or individual diagnosis. Include a brief outline, the intended reader and any sources or expertise relevant to the proposed subject. Do not send confidential information or material you do not have permission to share.
How to send a proposal
Send proposals through the Contact page and choose the editorial question option, making clear that the message is a pitch. A proposal is not a guarantee of publication; please wait for a response before sending a full draft.
Curiosity before certainty
Fitness is easier to understand when claims are examined and details are made visible. We favour clear explanations over prescriptions.
